We now have 25 people interested in our trip to Malta for the Zurrieq International Half Marathon (03/11/13).

We are still waiting for the Airlines (mainly Ryanair) to release their Winter Flight Schedules. The tour operators will then be able to offer us some competitive deals on flight/hotel.

In the meantime if anyone else is interested please let Graeme know and he will send all the information when available.

Zurrieq (Malta) International Half Marathon

In 2001 the Huncote Harriers competed in the Zurrieq (Malta) International Half Marathon.  15 of us competed out of a group of 26. Some have expressed a desire to return so we are now taking names of those who may have an interest in coming with us.  We already have 12-14 names and would like to encourage more Harriers to join us. (We get a discount for 20 and multiples of 10 thereafter).

Despite its grand title, the race is quite low key but is organised with great enthusiasm, Maltese style.  The trip will be suitable for either individuals, couples or families. (Individuals may have to share a room).  We are currently waiting for flights to be published in late March so we can select a suitable hotel, preferably on a Full Board basis.

This is not a clique group, everyone will be made most welcome.

There is plenty to see in Malta to keep you occupied for a full week. You will not be tied to the group and will be free to do what you like but the opportunity to unwind and share a beer with new friends will always be there.
